Re: [K12OSN] ip forwarding

Jim, Paul, Russ, Eric,
good suggestions. painfull, but good. especially Jim's -
traceroute gives me results i just don't undeerstand. traceroute to
192.168.0.254 returns successfull in1 step, to .253 (terminal) goes on
interminably over the default route, despite the route add ....:
i am writing this logged in on ws at .253. .252 doesn't exist.

turtle:/mnt/julius: traceroute 192.168.0.254
traceroute to 192.168.0.254 (192.168.0.254), 30 hops max, 20 byte packets

ping just hangs and looses all the packets

i was hoping for something simple, since i can accces eth0 on the server
from the outside. julius

p.s. all my ltsp servers have eth1 interfaces accessible either directly
or over vpn from the main business system and i can get to the eth0
from it, but no further. the business system has multiple network
connections and does internal ip forwarding, i turned on ip_forwarding on
all my ltsp servers.
part of the pain comes from the fact that iptables fail on my servers, but
this will be a separate question ;-)
