I'll give it a go, but I will have to compile my own server kernel from
source+om patches (for my non-Athlon AMD).  No problem on that though.

You hit on the key to both your package and my How-To...apply them to a
FRESH, NEW install of the K12LTSP distribution installation.  Otherwise you
will run into problems, not unfixable problems by any means, but it can be
frustrating for a first time installer if they try to apply these to a
modified K12LTSP installation...

I've got to say thanks to everyone who's e-mailed me with questions,
insights and comments on the How-To.  It's helped me learn a lot.  Still
more to learn but that's the fun of it after all...
