RE: [K12OSN] How Can I Make My Laptop a Workstation?

Title: RE: [K12OSN] How Can I Make My Laptop a Workstation?

I heard something about some sort of special BIOS in at least on of Toshiba's newest notebooks that only allowed MS OSs.  Might check to see if it has a normal OS.

No experience with this myself so can't really tell you more.  You might check their site though.

I was thrilled when I put the etherboot diskette into our Sony laptop running XP and it came up as a diskless workstation with no problem. Take the diskette out and reboot and XP is back.

Stick an etherboot diskette in, reboot, let your breath out when it works and ...

YMMV :-)
