Hello Tom,

We used to include StarOffice 5.2 on k12LTSP1.0. We had to get a special
license from Sun to do that. OpenOffice is a big improvement and it is
licensed under the GPL so we thought that would be better.

Sun will let you use StarOffice for free in your school. You just have to
buy the install media from them. It should work just fine on any K12LTSP
server. I think it's great that they are doing this for K12 schools.

Rsync is a good way to update the iso's. It uses less bandwidth as it only
gets the new stuff you need to update. Be sure to check any iso image with
md5sum before you burn the cd-roms.
