What would be cool is if you could set prefernces for mail, browser, file associations, and still have everything cooperate with everything else. Having a fully integrated office/productivity suite that cooperates (sic) with everything else has been one of M$s advantages,
I suppose.
I would like to use Evolution, Netscape, OpenOffice.org.
It seems the most integrated approach on my machine is to use Konqueror, Kmail, Koffice, Korganizer--all realy good stuff, notwithstanding certain limitations. If only Koffice had the compatibility with M$ file formats. As it is, I use netscape and netscrape mail, OpOf.org. Sometimes having so many choices can be confusing, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
