The O'Reilly book is included in the RH samba-swat RPM, in HTML format. Go
for it!

Another useful link, from a "schools district" working on a similar setup
to yours: http://linux.act.edu.au/

Finally, I meant to post this earlier, but a very useful page on LDAP that
I stumbled across: http://www.kingsmountain.com/ldapRoadmap.shtml

Really finally: another useful source of information is the Jolly Blue
Giant - IBM. Their Redbooks are "HOWTO" publications, and many of them now
cover Linux-related topics. Check out http://www.redbooks.ibm.com - they
have a very good introductory book on LDAP as well as some other
publications that relate to Samba (of course, the lead developer of Samba
now works for IBM, and IBM has replaced almost all of its Windows
file/print servers worldwide with Samba). A quick search on that site
should turn up a lot of reading material.
