Thanks for the info!  I will back up my home directories and have at it
right now.  I'd rather start clean for prototyping anyways.

I will take you recommendations to heart... I will most likely be going dual
server with a chooser in the beginning or maybe assigning workstations via
dhcp to the right server.  Probably dual xeon 2.4ghz with mirrored 15k 18gb
drives.  No files will be stored on it.

	this is *not* a symptom of hosed rpm database but of incompatibility
of programs and shared libraries. the quickest fix is to reinstall, since
you don't have anything there yet. julius

p.s. for 30 business users make sure the server is multiprocessor or 1
hyperthreading processor at the least and put in 4GB memory
