thanks for the reply.  I actually found the source code for the driver on
the Asus CD
but it woul simply not compile.  They really have to learn some things on
programming over at Asus HQ.
Now, I announced that I read the patch in the 2.5 branch Changelogs.
I went through some of the Changelog for the 2.4.21 kernel (I didn't even
knew it
was out until yesterday - d'oh )  and seems they have incorporated the same
in the 2.4.21 kernel (also in 3c59x ). ty Linus (-:
