Heya Julius. nah, I can download 50MB overnight ok. looks neat though.

I tested an earlier version of knoppix on a cyrix 233 / 64MB RAM and it
boots to the KDE3 desktop from CD perfectly.

It took 2 minutes, 40 seconds to load OpenOffice from CD.. but that
should be halved (at least) loading from local HDD.

I also ssh'ed (over 100BT) to a PIII-500 SCSI Server, and opened
OpenOffice - in six seconds.

Next test - celeron 500 Laptop - 128MB RAM - boots Knoppix ok - as
Loads OpenOffice from knoppix CD in 2 mins and 2 seconds

ssh to PIII-500 Server over 802.11b (11mbit) - load OO from Server -  12

Summarising ;

OpenOffice takes 6-8 seconds to load on a PIII-500 SCSI (hardware)RAID-5
Server - regardless if local, or 802.11b remote.

Open Office takes 2 minutes plus to load from knoppix *Bootable CD* -
*regardless* of whether it is the Celery500 laptop, or the Cyrix 233 PC.

Not Tested: Loading OpenOffice from Laptop HDD install.
