Re: [K12OSN] Remote Boot with VLAN's

What is your router for the switched VLAN segments?
I ask because most routers or switch/routers can be configured to be a dhcprelay for different interfaces (which includes the virtual ones for VLANs) to forward dhcp requests to a specific address (your dhcp server address). The simplest solution is to make this configuration change on your router.

Another possible alternative is to configure the connection to your dhcpserver box to be an 802.1q trunk (carrying all VLANs) and configure the ethernet interface on the dhcp server for 802.1q encapsulation, and add virtual interfaces - one for each VLAN. That way the dhcp server can communicate on each VLAN directly, not just for dhcp server functions.
