[K12OSN] Running Wine Applications from the Menu.

Hi,

After wrestling with wine and various applications that run fine from
the command line but won't play ball when you give them a link from the
icewm menu i've finally managed to do it.

What I've had to do is something like the following.

In /usr/share/applications/chace_math_vectmeet.desktop

---

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Vectmeet
Comment=
#TryExec=tuxmath
Exec=/usr/local/bin/maths/run_vect
Icon=
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Encoding=UTF-8
X-Desktop-File-Install-Version=0.2
Categories=Application;Education;X-Red-Hat-Base;

---

Which calls the shell script

/usr/local/bin/maths/run_vect

---

#!/bin/sh
cd /usr/local/bin/maths
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
wine vectmeet.exe

---

The key was putting in the 'export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5' line, without
this it seemed to be moaning about not finding a file /tmp

So i'm posting this for information until the wiki comes back up, and I
hope this helps someone or saves them some time and grief in the future.
But as usual YMMV

Martin Stevens
