Doing a Google for "Linux certification":

  Linux Professional Institute

  CompTIA Linux+ Certification

  RedHat Certified Engineer program

... just pointing out that, yes, the 'Linux community' has certifications
out there, and some people go and get certified, just like in the Microsoft
