That's what you need if you want to start a remote X
desktop, but for rescue work where you will be copying
various things over the network it is handy to let X
start locally and open several root terminal windows.
You can use one to do the real work and the others to
ssh into other machines to find the files you need
and perhaps read the notes you kept about how to
install them.  Saving a copy of the output from 'fdisk -l'
is always a good idea if you plan to reconstruct manually.
