[K12OSN] adduser/useradd issue

Actually, I think the -p <password> paramater expects you to key in the 
users (already encrypted) password, meaning you have to have it encrypted 
already to enter it in as the -p parameter.  

Anyone to say that is not correct?  I'd appreciate being corrected, here. 
. .  I have never made the -p parameter work either. . . Says something 
about the encrypted password in the man page.
