Shane,

with 1mb of video ram, you can do 800x600 16-bit color
or 1024x768 8-bit color.

But you can't do 1024x768 16-bit.  You'd need about 1.5mb for that.

Can you show us the entries that you are trying, and tell us what the
result is ?
