That would be right, assuming that your 100W clients actually pull 100 and your 10W stations pull 10. More likely is that your 10W stations pull 8-9W on average and your 100W stations pull like 50-60W. (Remove the HD, and maybe Floppy or CD drive, do the 10W clients have these? I'd still say that if you can get donations that you are probably better off using them, assuming that they work well and the hardware is supported. However, the donated computers aren't "good" for doing LTSP, then given the combination of time and energy saving you are betting off buying the LTSP ready clients; instead of wrestling with the donated machines.
