Hello!

That sounds very peculiar to me. You might try tailing the file
/var/log/secure by issuing this command in a terminal as root:

tail -f /var/log/secure

That way you can see all communication going on between the linux box and
the netware box. There should be some clues there. It is also a good thing
to read the documentation to ncpfs and as a last resort contact the
developer in charge.
