using a win '98 boot disk doesn't work for me unless I hit F1..
as the splash screen freaks out somehow...
am experimenting with dos 5.0 (not working)...
and now 6.22 will update tomorrow as I must go sailing now =)

Hi Huck,

It was probably one of my messages.

Prpare a hard drive as if you were going to put DOS onto it. You could
conceivably use a free version of DOS.

I made a 10MB partition.

Make the drive active.

Create a batch file that calls the PXE_ROM_IMAGE.com file, and save that
to the 10 MB partition.

copyt the appropriate PXE_ROM_IMAGE.com file to the 10 MB partition.

Reboot and it should work.

===========

I used a boot floppy set up in a similar manner to test various cards.

I did the old config.sys menu trick in DOS and had about 6 different
boot rom images on the floppy.
Throw the floppy in my diagnostics machine, select the boot rom based on
the NIC, and see if it connects to the server.

Bert
