[K12OSN] OT...but I need help with postfix

Ah...then perhaps it's the "inet_interfaces" setting.  Check out what's 
in your main.cf (mine's in /etc/postfix/) and see if that parameter's 
there.  It may be that there's a "default" setting in there that doesn't 
correspond to the IP address your server actually uses.  It might be set 
for "localhost" only, which will allow only localhost (127.0.0.1) to 
connect to Postfix.  This is what OpenBSD does with its sendmail 
configuration to keep intruders out, and I think Red Hat's sendmail 
config is similar; at least, it was back in the day.
