On a side-note...I just received the same bad news today...
instead of going with K12ltsp...
they opt'd for MS and all proprietary software...
wouldn't even give in to OO...but why would they when the MS license
includes
OS and Office suite...

So... 100 machines at roughly $50 per machine each year... is a mere
$5000
...mind you, this is at a private school which just cut 8 teaching staff

because of budget restraints...Oh..and that's just for the MS
portion...not to mention the Adobe,
Macromedia, Norton AV Corporate Ed., Novell, and Ghost licenses.
