[K12OSN] banning windows clients from DHCP?

This sounds like a good candidate for group membership.

I've just installed VNC onto my machine to see if a VNC group is
created. Unfortunately this is not the case.

So you need to create a group named vnc. CHOWN of vnc folder and the
apps from root:root to root:vnc

Then you can add the particular user to the vnc group.

FTP already has a group so add the user to this group as well.

Check the user to see what his primary group is. It should be the same
as his user name. If not then you will have to change the primary group
for that user.
