Re: [K12OSN] banning windows clients from DHCP?

Please put the entry in dhcpd.conf
deny unknow-clients,
This line will not allow any other mac-address to get the ip address from dhcp server.
You need to define all the ltsp -workstations here  with host entry.

Try making your boot floppies with REQUIRE_VCI_ETHERBOOT option. You can do it
easy with the configure button here

don't forget to declared your dhcp server as "not authoritative".

Hope this helps.

hi all, is there a way to keep Windows machines with DHCP enabled from
getting an IP/gateway/DNS on LTSP 3.1.2?

many of my clients are specified in lts.conf, but if someone plugs a
laptop into a port on ETH0, they get an IP and off they go. some of
these same problem children have a boot floppy/lts.conf config, so it
would not be good to block them by MAC. i just would like to block them
if they popped out the boot floppy.
