[K12OSN] Logging onto the server from a windows machine

Hi Chris,

I only used VNC internally. Never from home or a remote site.

The network in question was still running Win95 in 2001 on P75's, if I
had to walk to every breakdown I would get about 3 problems a day fixed.

VNC allowed me to remote in to the user's machine and talk them through
the solution (if they had a phone). 

If the librarian noticed suspected behaviour around a machine she would
phone me and I could check for her. 

I totally agree that VNC and  root access without SSH from outside the
network would be DUMB. Similar to sticking your tongue on a metal
flagpole in the middle of an Alaskan winter!
