Everything after this is caused by the mount failure.  The exports
file you listed looked right, although a stock one will say:

/opt/ltsp/i386   192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(ro,no_root_squash,sync)

Be sure you do an 'exportfs -a' or 'service nfs restart' after changes
to /etc/exports.

If you look at the end of /var/log/messages or /var/log/secure
on the server after this failure you may see a more detailed
reason for the permission denied error.
