I dunno.  I have not tried anything but the 5500s, as I have quite a few of them.  I also have a ton of 5400s -- and I think they have very similar hardware.  I have a handful of 5260s, but I haven't even cracked one open in a while.  I know the 5260s needed a different macintosh extension to get ethernet working -- so I'm assuming it's a different eth card.
