Hi,

Now that my primary mirror has daily rsync with my development host, I
can put test/beta images online.

You can find those on
http or ftp://ftp.kulnet.kuleuven.ac.be/mirror/clusterknoppix/beta/

As the subject shows, the current testrelease has support for LTSP
setups. How to test it:

run the knoppix-terminalopenmosixserver via the X icon or run
/etc/init.d/knoppix-terminalopenmosixserver setup. For now you have to
enable TEXTMODE to test LTSP, otherwise the clients will just boot in
normal "fat" client style.

After the configuration, and booting up your client nodes with PXE or
etherboot you'll get a shell on the client. Now run X -broadcast (on
that client), it'll search for a XDM via XDMCP.

You'll see something like "Welcome node42:0 at node21" on the X logon
screen. node42 is the client node, this will also be the username and
password to logon to the X-server. node21 is the servernode (ofcourse
those numbers will vary for your setup)

When you logon your processes will be running on the master, thin client
style. (ofcourse some of them can still migrate to faster hosts).

Future testversions will automatically decide if a node will be a thin
or fat node.

Feedback/ideas/comments are appreciated.
