Hi, 

I seem to be having a bit of trouble with NIS between two machines.

I have the NIS server running on one machine and the client machine
binds to the server.

However when I try and ssh from the server to the client i get

mstevens at earth's password: 
Connection to earth closed by remote host.
Connection to earth closed.
[mstevens at mercury mstevens]$

If ssh to the server as root I can login, the I try and su to a user
account.

[mstevens at mercury mstevens]$ ssh earth -l root
root at earth's password: 
Last login: Tue Mar  9 10:49:09 2004 from mercury
[root at earth root]# su mstevens
id: cannot find name for user ID 1739
[I have no name!@earth root]$ 

Has anyone got any Ideas ?
