[K12OSN] USB wireless in Fedora?

I've been preaching the gospel of Linux with my friends.  Now a buddy 
has the Fedora Core 1 on a DVD and can't get his USB wireless NIC 
working... any help?

"Do you know anything about setting up a USB wireless network adapter
under Fedora?  I don't have a clue where to start."
