The best to my understanding is that is just used to calibrate the monitor.
IT's just saying "at 800x600, this should be set to this" and it goes from
there and figures out what the other resolutions would be. Maybe I'm wrong.
I'm betting if I change that to 1024x768 nothing good will happen. But ya
know...there's one way to find out!
