A quick-and-dirty fix is to use the compatibility mode for ldap. That
way you do not have to modify your LDAP server. In smb.conf, change:

	passdb backend = ldapsam:ldap://localhost/,guest

to

	passdb backend = ldapsam_compat:ldap://localhost/,guest
