[K12OSN] Weird symbols in X-chat and Mozilla

Hello,

I've been running k12ltsp since september now with no problems.  All of a
sudden, anyone who uses X-chat or Mozilla seems small squares instead of
various letters.  The effect reminds me of when you do not have the
correct font in Internet explorer so it loads up symbols.

The same occurs with Konqueror.

The problem does not occur, however, when I log in as root. Everything
works very well.

Any thoughts?
