Different sites have different specialties, and some
of the packages have questions about patent infringement
that might make them illegal to distribute in the US.

Here is a list of RPM packagers, although they aren't
all apt/yum. http://www.rpm.org/packagers/

Now that you mention it I seem to remember some talk about intellectual
property on this list a few weeks ago, probably a smart choice to be on
the safe side.
