[K12OSN] not important- sendmail hangs for a couple of minutes

I'm just leaving for a Dr's appmnt and perhaps  being lazy (google would do 
it, too)  but I just restarted the 3.1.2 server and noticed that sendmail 
hung for  almost two minutes or so.   Fast fixes could be ...
