All of the reports I've seen indicate that the FC1 SMP kernels are still
causing some people grief. We have a bunch of servers running the latest
FC1 SMP kernels and have had excellent stability.
I've had a few reports that installing the Whitebox SMP kernel works great
in place of the FC1 SMP kernel:
