Hi, I didn't archive it and googling finds the default rpm how-to. Isn't there a way to use rpm -V to fix the permissions that have been hosed? I don't need it now, but thought I did a couple of days ago. I'll archive it this time. (no, it wasn't me), the problem turned out to be / being chmoded 644 Roger
