This I can answer....it's in the Preferences file....find the line
referencing the multiple desktops and Windows and comment it out.

I highly recommend using  "icecc" for a GUI to edit IceWM menus and
toolbars....it works fantastic!  Disregard the error message when you
first launch icecc it just means you have to navigate to the icewm folder
at /usr/share/icewm
