Hi Shawn,
I have not had this problem myself. But I did come across this OOo bug 
fix. You might find it interesting.

So 1.1.1 is the version you might want to try. Let us know if this 
resolves the issue. I'm pretty sure K12LTSP 4.0.1 (FC1) ships with OOo 1.1.0
Has anyone else had good performance from 1.1.1 (default with FC2, 
k12ltsp 4.1)?
