[K12OSN] can't access samba shares from winxp

Add the server's info to the hosts file on the XP computers.

I think it is in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc directory, but browse 
around if you can't find it. . .

Syntax is like:

this.is.ip.no full.server.name.org servername

Example:
10.40.12.1 leopards.k12.ar.us leopards

Do that for each server that computer will be required to connect to.

Works for me, YMMV
