Check that and also make sure there is a icewm.desktop file in
/etc/X11/dm/sessions directory
(There should be a default icewm.desktop file in /usr/share/xsessions)

In the /etc/X11/dm/sessions/icewm.desktop
make sure there is NO line that says Hidden=true
