Hi John,

We have a mish-mash of Compaq 5175 to 5166 and have simply disabled the 
on-board nic (from the compaq site you can download the bios diskettes 
and change the standard settings) and used 3-Com 905 cards with either 
the rom-o-matic boot floppy or the "universal" pxe boot cd.
Both solutions work great.
