No problem. I will just give you a quick background of what I use the
script for.

We have a folder on the server called "Drop". Inside this is a folders
for each teacher such as "Teacher1" and "Teacher2". Inside each
teachers folders is a folder for each of their classes "Class1" and
"Class2". The teachers are set as both owner and group for all of their
folders, and other is allowed list and write privileges to the class
folders and read priveleges to the teacher folders. That way a student
can navigate to a specific class and drop their homework into the
respective folder but not see any other work turned in by other

Only problem with this is that the student is the owner of the files
that are dropped. This messes with the teachers being able to view the
homework and with the student quotas since they are unable to remove
this files in the future. That is where the script comes in. The
script is run by Cron every minute to take the priveleges of the
enclosing folders and assign them to any file within those folders.
That way after a maximum of one minute after the student turns in their
assignments the respective teacher becomes the owner of the assignments.
Now the students quota is releived and the teachers quota is affected
(making them responsible for cleaning out the folders) and they have
permissions to view/edit the assignments.

I will have to check out the sites you listed and see what goodies are
out there.
