When I double-click on get java or get flash I get a terminal window that loads lots of text, which ultimately ends with an error message. Is there a secret to this? I like to use certain webpages that have java and I can't under current conditions. Thanks!

the trick I discovered is that a default loading of the K12LTSP package
loads a conflict between foo and I believe it was hpljs. If you go to
the Synaptic Package manager and look at the Broken Packages, there will
probably be something about it there.

When you fix that, at least when I fixed that, which blows away foo,
then the "Install Additional Programs" stuff works for Java, Flash,
Adobe, etc

Hope this works for you
