[K12OSN] OT: Off-site data replication

Hi List,

We are searching for methods of replicating important data to an 
off-site (but still connected to the network via fiber) location. For 
example, our mailserver (qmail and Courier IMAP) is backed up daily, but 
if we had a hard disk failure just before a backup, we would lose 24 
hours of data.

What are some alternatives in replicating data in a relatively-live 
manner? A SAN is an option, but is something that extensive required? 
Would doing an rsync every 15 minutes bring the box to its knees?
