[K12OSN] odd samba happenings

Yes they can login via thin clients, yes the machine accounts are 
created, I didn't edit any registry settings manually (never had to 
before)...

And if I manually modify the user's passwd via the webmin module on a 
PER user basis instead of via the batch, they can login fine.
But that's 230 users =)

My old accts still login just fine and all machines joined to domain and 
tested with MY account from last year...
I created a test acct this morning when it was reported to me, and can 
login via thin client but not via the XP machines.

/etc/samba/smbpasswd shows the following which seems odd:

starting at aguich...those X's...??? above that are the accounts that 
work and one of the XP machine accts.
