Hi Les

It seems we are always crusading for the same thing (lol)

I just installed the first beta of smeserver7 and I have to say its
looking good. I also have the centos version of k12ltsp and was able to
get that box authenticating against the samba domain on the smeserver
with no hassle at all. the only snag at this point is for some reason
the k12ltsp box is not resolving the primary group of the users. I am
creating the user home dirs locally using pam_mkhomedir , I think just
mapping the home dir on the smeserver to a dir on k12ltsp would be
sufficient. So essentially with all authentication against the
smeserver we are almost there.

I was wondering though how you handle having a server off-line ? Some
sort of caching of user info so as to prevent the server (k12ltsp)
becoming unusable ?

Regards
Dean
