I agree with Eric, my server saw only the individual drives of the RAID
array when using the on-board Silicon-Image "fake" RAID controller (Tyan
MB).
I ended up disabling on-board RAID and ordering an LSI MegaRAID pci-x
SATA RAID controller and it worked out of the box with the "megaraid"
kernel module.
