[K12OSN] no C compiler in $Path

Hi,
I did install gcc, and it's in /usr/libexec/gcc, but when I just tried
to ./configure something (logjam, a livejournal client),
I got:
WARNING: no acceptable C compiler in $PATH

I'm assuming I merely need to place gcc in my $path, but how do I do that?

tony
