[K12OSN] Logging into windows XP machines using same loginas K12LTSP

I am having problems installing smb ldap.

I have run the program (smbldap.pl) it said it couldn't find some rpms and
failed initially. I found the rpms in the smbldap-installer/rpms directory. 
After installing the rpms everything seemed to go ok until the end. 
(I noticed it said something about entering root password when prompted. I
was never prompted. After the install failed the first time I entered root
password manually using smbpasswd -a root)
