i'm not near the machine to quote dmesg, but overall, upgrade from 4.0 to 4.2 went very smoothly. checked clients, all worked fine. i spent a little more time installing some new packages. later, i was dismayed to see the clients not connect. the ETH1 interface was active, i could bring it up and down. i'll try to check on it more tonight with more info.
