[K12OSN] New 4.2 K12LTSP installed but old x_mode doesn't work

The new install is almost finished, but I do have a couple of questions.
The first is that the terminals that did work (k12ltsp 3.2) using the x_mode
line in lts.conf :

X_MODE_0 = 1024x768  65      1024 1048 1184 1344   768 771 777 806  -hsync
-vsync

as in a workstation defined by:

[lib07]
        XSERVER            = auto
# 60 Hz Resolutions
        X_MODE_0 = 1024x768  65      1024 1048 1184 1344   768 771 777 806
-hsync -vsync
        X_MOUSE_PROTOCOL   = "IMPS/2"
        X_MOUSE_DEVICE     = "/dev/psaux"
#        Option      "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
        LOCAL_APPS         = N
        USE_NFS_SWAP       = N
        SWAPFILE_SIZE      = 48m
        RUNLEVEL           =  5

fail to start X. I get a monitor that turns off because of being
over-synced. If I set the x_mode to 800x600 X will start, but we just need
at least 1024x768 as before. The monitors are AOC 15" 5E and the video is
onboard SIS 730 using a ECS K7SEM mobo. Only since moving to the 4.2 K12
have we had this problem...

I've got the system tentatively shut down tomorrow (Monday) just in case I
can't get this and what ever else fixed in time.

Thanks,  Jim
